PHD-KAS Cooperation Project, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Bundelkhand University organized “Seminar on “Importance of Intellectual Property Rights” on Thursday, 4th May 2017 at 2:00 Hrs at Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India.
The objective of the seminar is to significantly raise the level of awareness and interest/knowledge about IPR Issues and to fill the Academia- Industry interface and reap benefits arising out of protection of intellectual property of Jhansi industry cluster.
Mr. Mohit Jain, Chairman MSME Committee PHD Chamber, welcomed all the participation and said that there would be a number of experts who would be sharing their insights about IPR as well as will guide the audience for its filing and protection. He also stated that university-industry linkage and partnership have increased the possibilities than ever before to convert the knowledge and innovative ideas generated through the quality research activities of higher institutions of learning into commercial business enterprises. Prof. O P Kamdari, Director ,College Development Council, Bundelkhand University said recent times, the level of interaction with industry in various forms has become one very important measure of credibility of the academic institutions. This is partly premised on the fact that, the need for functional knowledge and relevance of education that can be readily converted into commercial undertakings have increased over the years
Shri R K Prakash, Deputy Director – MSME Development Institute, Kanpur advised the delegates to make use of IPR in their innovations, R&D work and spread the concept of IPR among MSMEs. He also said Ministry of MSME continuously facilitate and support MSME Industry Associations and other stakeholders in raising awareness on IPR related issues.
